about

«Lost signals» is a collective conversation between machines, field recordings, radio noise and various accidents. Referencing a certain sci-fi horror-movie from 1979, the moody atmosphere, dense electronics and noise creep up on the listener slowly, but inevitably. Just when things get comfortable and you can see light at the end of the tunnel, disaster strikes, and the future is again uncertain. The record is in many ways fragments of an envisioned journey – incomplete, scattered and confusing. Just like Nostromo’s last trip through the galaxy.

Admir is a maker of sounds. In his sound realm he often works with a few synthesized sounds, big soundscapes and his own processed field recordings. Microscopic variations to the timbre of sounds and their inherent texture as well as feedback and delay help push the sounds forward at a slow pace. The sombre mood points to an uncertain, post-apocalyptic future.
